Funny Baby

When does the developing fetus develop a sense of humor? What's funny in the womb? Everything or nothing?

The Kick

Hayden felt her first one yesterday. Or maybe it was a punch. Who knows.

Leaves

These leaf piles were so big they move, usually after dark. You can see the little legs in brown leotards underneath the piles when they walk. They don't move far, only a few steps. In this picture they are all crouching. They're a quiet, reserved bunch.

Somebody's Idea of Perfect

Green bushes buzzed into perfect triangles does not a Christmas tree make.

O Tannenbaum!

We loaded up the family sleigh and headed out to the Anderson Mall to select that most festive of holiday symbols.

Drumroll please.... Drumroll?

Joy to the world!!!

The Sunny Spot

On Starting A Blog Post Title With "On..."

Why do you do it? To all those web loggers out there who post entries with titles that start with 'on' this or 'on' that, stop doing that. Instead of saying "On Turkey Dinners" just say "Turkey Dinners." Or if you want to say something about the weather, instead of saying "On The Weather" just say "The Weather." I know you want to make a comment 'on' something and that's fine but just make the comment and move on. Forget 'on'. Or maybe say "Ode to Turkey Dinners"

Too bad pregnant bellies don't come with one of the blue pop up things when the baby is done.

What Our Baby WILL NOT Be Wearing

Happy 1.1mm Nuchal Fold Day!!

They tell us anything below 3mm is where you want to be. So we're feeling pretty good about 1.1. Unfortunately, this picture does not do the baby justice. I wish I had taken a video. That baby was a buckin! Squirming and punching. Probably doing the Nuchal Dance.

A Beautiful Girl (at the Anderson County Fair)

This is a picture of the poster for some freak show attraction that they try to get you to pay a buck for. I didn't do it but supposedly the girl really talks to you. Somehow the little digital camera I had picked up some strange lighting bouncing off the metal. I thought it made for a pretty cool picture.

Random Cool Guy at the Anderson County Fair

New Used Car

Well, we decided to go with a German car instead of a Japanese car. Unfortunately, now Hayden is Japanese. (not that there's anything wrong with that. It's just...well, ya know....I liked her the way she was.)

Toys!

We've got Bear and Eeor in our collection so far. Kedzie's claws are too sharp to be a toy and I haven't brushed my teeth yet.

The Peanut

Here's the baby! If you'll look closely, to the south and west, there's a 12 inch cold cut combo from Subway growing in there as well, just in case the baby gets hungry.

She's All Grown Up

Yesterday Kedzie went live as a fully outdoor cat. We have been training her for the past couple of months. We would let her out but only allowed her to go so far, never letting her out of our sight. But yesterday, we did. Pure uninhibited, unadulterated feline curiosity allowed to express itself fully in our little Kedzie. Would she remember, or know how to find her way home? Yes. Yes she did. Twice! To look out the window wondering where she is only to find her spawled out on the front porch - ahhh, FREEDOM!!!

The Alliance of Concerned Squirrels is conveneing to today to discuss this newest threat to the homefront.

My Greenville Shoes

Wasn't sure if anyone really wanted to see my shoes. Maybe I'm running out of pictures to post. There have been no lack of potential good photos, I just haven't taken them. Then I started to think about why I took this picture. It's proof that I'm actually here, that this actually happened and that I'm actually standing in a house that I own. Kinda like when a baby mouths a cell phone to feel its realness or when you kick the tires of a new car - I took a picture of my shoes on the floor. The Eagle has landed.

Haw Haw H'yaw Haw

The fishes are mowing my cat and I've locked Hayden in the onion keeper for being Eleanor Roosevelt. My ants are screaming. Their hero is going.

Steve is a Dull Boy

Sorry it's been a while since last I posted but I'm worried about Steve. Ever since we moved in, he hasn't been quite the same. There's something strange about this house...
